TUTORIAL FOR CRYPTO AND STOCKS DISPLAY
Congratulations on buying on of the LED displays!
Please follow this tutorial for initial setup.
New changes have been made to make it easier for users to update the settings. If you purchased your device before 9/18/2023 we strongle recommend to UPDATE YOUR CODE.
Connect the USB cable to your computer.
Open the drive as you'd normally do if it was a USB stick.
(On Windows: Windows Explorer->This PC->D: CIRCUITPY
The drive name is called CIRCUITPY.
Edit your secrets file located in your recently plugged in CIRCUITPY drive.
Open the file "secrets.py" with any text editor.
(On Windows: right click secrets.py -> Open With... -> select Notepad)
Edit the Serial Number and wifi settings in the file.
Register your device.
It is recommended to use the latest version of the code for improved features and bug fixed. To do that visit the Code Download page.
Note: You don’t need to keep the device connected to a computer.
Once it is setup, you can unplug and connect the USB cable to any USB wall outlet with at least 2.1A of power. (Buy on Amazon)

Tutorial FOR STOCKS (or WSB) LED Matrix

Step 1
Connect the USB cable to your computer.
Step 2
Open the drive as you’d normally do if it was a USB stick.
(On Windows: Windows Explorer->This PC->D: CIRCUITPY
The drive name is called CIRCUITPY.
Step 3
Open the file “secrets.py” with any text editor.
(On Windows: right click secrets.py -> Open With… -> select Notepad)
Alternatively you can also open Notepad first (Press Windows key and type Notepad)
And then Drag and Drop the secrets.py file inside Notepad application.
Similar steps should be followed on Apple devices.

.Enter your WIFI name and Password.

Enter your API key

Create a free account on:

COPY your API Key and paste it in the secrets.py file.
Step 8
Save the file and you should notice the device will restart immediately after you make the changes.
Device should be displaying correctly now.
If not, please verify WIFI credentials and API key were entered correctly.
Optional:
You can modify the stocks to display by changing the cryptos variable in the secrets file:
stocks = [“AAPL”, “TSLA”, “GOOG”, “TWTR”]
You don’t need to keep the device connected to a computer.
Once it is setup, you can unplug and connect the USB cable to any power source.
